The Board

THE BOARD OF SITKA ASSEMBLY OF GOD WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOUR FAMILY TO VISIT THIS SUNDAY

BOARD TEAM:

Wes & Susan Kesler ~ Wes has been a commercial fisherman for over 33 years. He is also the Construction Planning & Development (formally Mission America Placement Service (MAPS) Team Coordinator in Sitka.  His wife, Susan, is a retired First Grade Teacher and a gifted photographer.  They have lived in Sitka for over 35 years having raised a son and twin daughters.  They have nine grandchildren.  Wes is Vice-Chair.

Mark & Sheri Buggins ~ Mark and Sheri have lived in Sitka since the mid-70's.  Mark is an Environmental Supervisor for the City & Borough of Sitka Water and Wastewater Departments.  Sheri is lead Customer Agent/Trainer for Alaska Airlines, Sitka Station.  She is also a professional clown involved in Children's Ministry throughout Alaska.  Lovey, the clown, has also traveled to Mexico to be with the Children of the Dump.  Mark and Sheri have three grown children, and three grandchildren.  Mark is the Church Board Treasurer. 

Herb & Kelli McClenahan ~ Herb was born and raised in Sitka.  He met his wife, Kelli, at Northwest University in Kirkland, WA in 1984.  He is the General Manager for Arrowhead Homes of Sitka.  Kelli is an instructor for University of Alaska-Sitka Campus where she teaches American Sign Language.  She is also the community coordinator for Operation Christmas Child.  Herb and Kelli have two daughters: their oldest graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO in 2008, and the youngest graduated from Sitka High School in 2008 as well.

Jennifer Spriggel ~ Jennifer has lived in Sitka for 7 years, she is a West Virginia transplant.  Jennifer is the Clinic Manager for Mountainside Family Healthcare; she holds a B.S. in Fitness/Physical Education, B.S. in Nursing, a M.S. in Health Promotion, and she's a Licensed Massage Therapist.  Jennifer serves as a greeter on Sunday Mornings at Sitka Assembly of God, she has ministered as a Camp Nurse for both children's and youth camps, and is involved in the Prayer Ministry at Sitka AOG.  Jennifer also serves in our community in the Soroptimist Women's Service Club.

Kathy Newman ~ Kathy has lived in Sitka since 1973.  She has taught as a Math Professor at Sheldon Jackson College since August of 1973 upon their closing in June of 2007.  Currently she works at Sitka Community Hospital.  Kathy is an accomplished pianist, and plays for various events in local churches, schools and throughout our community.  She has a grown daughter attending Evangel University. 

Bill & Elaine Steinbach ~ Bill & Elaine are long time Alaskans.  They have three grown children and five grandchildren.  Bill works for the school system as an electrician.  Elaine is employed with Sitka Vision Clinic as a receptionist.  This is Elaine's second term on the Board since the 1990's.
