Sitka Alaska is a small, close knit community and there are many ways to get envolved and support the communtiy.  We as Christans share Jesus with people everywhere we go because Christ dwells in us.  As we move out into the community we enevitable represent and show Jesus to those we come in contact with.

Pioneer Home
Sitka's Pioneer Home is a care facility for the elderly.  Many residence of the Pioneer Home have little family in Sitka and love having visitors.

Sitka Young Life
Young Life is all about going to where kids are and sharing with them the greatest news ever told through loving and trusting relationships.  Young Life leaders enter the world of kids, go on their turf, to share with them the love of Jesus.

SAFV Shelter
Sitkan's Against Family Voilence.  The SAFV Shelter is a safe place for women and children who are affected by domestic abuse.  SAFV provides accomadation for those seeking a safe place to stay as well as courses to raise awareness of domestic abuse and counceling for those who have been affected by abuse.

Salvation Army
The Salvation Army in Sitka runs a soup kitchen, second hand store, and food bank.

Fire Department
The Sitka Volunteer Fire Department consists of approximately ninety volunteers.  Operating within the department are three distinctly different divisisions which include Fire, EMS, and Dive.
